The Thread of Trust
June 6 — Becoming an Author
This Saturday, June 6, something I once only whispered to myself becomes real.
Blue Sky Mind will be released into the world.
If you've been following Threads by Zensetter, you've witnessed pieces of this journey unfold. Not just the writing of a book, but the becoming of the woman who was willing to write it.
Along the way, I learned that becoming an author isn't only about putting words on a page. It's about trusting yourself enough to share them.
Trust has been the thread weaving through every step.
Trusting the blank page.
Trusting the stories that wanted to be told.
Trusting the voice that kept whispering, keep going.
Trusting the moments when I had no idea what I was doing—building a website, creating an email list, learning publishing, designing a brand, and figuring things out one thread at a time.
There were moments I questioned myself.
Moments I wondered if anyone would read the words.
Moments I felt completely out of my depth.
And yet, every time doubt appeared, trust quietly invited me forward.
Not certainty.
Not confidence.
Trust.
One small step.
One sentence.
One thread.
One breath.
I am incredibly grateful to Rachel Krall, owner of Uprooted Publishing, for believing in this project and helping bring Blue Sky Mind into the world. Publishing a book is never a solo journey. It is a weaving of many hands, hearts, and acts of faith.
Today, I want to share a small poem from the book.
Trust
The bridge did not appear
all at once.
Only the next plank,
the next step,
the next breath.
I spent years searching
for certainty,
only to discover
that trust was enough.
Trust in the unraveling.
Trust in the becoming.
Trust in the thread
that knows where it is going
even when I do not.
As June 6 approaches, I find myself standing between who I was and who I am becoming.
Not arriving.
Not finished.
Simply continuing to follow the thread.
And for that, I am deeply grateful.
With love,
Sophia

This book is proof that you do not need to see the whole path.
You only need the courage to take the next step.
